As Sarah Palin took to Twitter yesterday (November 22), Harry Reid took to a vote on the Senate floor which voted 60-39 to allow a debate on Health Care Reform.  Arm your CSPAN remote control ticker, as this could get very interesting!   If you get a chance cruise on over to Washington Post to read the op-ed by David Broder, I think that it addresses some of the concerns that I have over HCR (aka Unwellness Reform).

The question remains as to whether or not the price of insurance is going to be driven down or will the taxpayers just be filling the coffers of insurance companies.  Sarah Palin does have an a point that the bill will effect 1/6th of the nations economy, yet my question is why should health care be 1/6th of the driving force of ANY economy.  It is nauseating to think that as we move into the holiday season, 1/6th of the Christmas Presents purchased will be bought on the backs of the sick and the unwell.    Real reform should be about wellness not sickness.  In the case of a country protecting insurance companies to protect an economy, much of that should be on mental wellness
