A vote of 237 to 170 passed the Auto Bailout Bill in the US House of Representatives, but many are suspicious of what the Senate will do with this bill?   Are the Senate GOP going to block it, because they are anti-union and wish to place manufactoring in areas that are pro-business rather than pro-employee.   Regardless, politics are playing a roll in the lives of millions of America automobile workers.  According to many labor estimates if the bailout fails the unemployment ratio could easily go up to 10% in the United States.  This is not including individuals who have “fallen” out of the system and given up on finding a new job entirely.   Meanwhile, the Blagojevich scandal continues in Illinois.  David Broder writes an excellent editorial for the Washington Post revealing Gov. Blagojevich path of corruption.    Are we going to see the tables turn on the Democrats, as Blagojevich joins Rangel as the two latest “politics of corruption” candidates faced with an ever increasing angry public who are sick of the current tone in Washington and voted for change or are we going to see Washington continue to be Washington?   39 Days until our national nightmare is over!
