As the debate over health care continues, many of the opinion pieces today were about Roman Polanski. What does this really add to the current discussion? Or is it simply another distraction to keep us unfocused and in the dark about Health Care Reform. A few things to note — Reform pretty much is dependent on the success of Rockefeller and Schumer, who will be putting forth amendments to the Senate Bill created by Max “I’m an Insurance Company Guy” Bauchus. If these amendments fail so will anything resembling health care reform. On another note, there needs to be some serious discussion about Malpractice Reform. This issue has been avoided by Democrats who receive enormous campaign contributions from these lobbying firms. We will see what the day brings us. As The Nation says, ”The Stakes Could Not Be Much Higher”.
