What do the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, Tehran’s sponsorship of holocost skeptics, the 2004 tsunami, and the World Trade Center attack all have in common? These are all conspiracy theories that a majority of Muslims believe about US and Western Policies. Jacob Bronsther writes an incredible piece for the “Christian Science Monitor” where he delves into the reasons behind the Muslim needs for conspiracy theories and the obstacles that face President Obama. Bronsther states that in order for their to be success in the war on terror US foreign policy needs to be perceived as less threatening than radical Islam. I agree with Bronsther wholeheartedly, and hope that President Obama is able to overcome the latest chapter in our global clash of civilizations.

Jacob writes an incredible shallow and prejudiced piece about over 1 billion Muslims who live in over 50 countries across the globe in different continent.
The conspiracy theory that Jacob is comfortable with is one that “demonstrates”, al-la protocols of Zion, that all Muslims, no matter where they are all connected together to a common “conspiracy theory” system that feeds their beliefs.
Jacob demonstrates that the minute your are born Muslim, just like if you were born a Jew, you automatically get your dose of “conspiracy theory”.
“Radical Islam” is yet another excuse for US imperialism that has killed close to 1 million innocent people in the Arab world and millions elsewhere since the butchery of Vietnam. As Madeleine Albright once said, “we think it is worth the price” (ie half a million dead Iraqi babies).
In 1953, the US government led a coup (the CIA) that toppled the elected Iranian prime minister and installed the dictatorship of Shah. Reason: oil access. Until 1997 when the coup was finally declassified, anyone who alleged (or dared) US involvement in the coup was dismissed as a “conspiracy-theorist”.
It is not just Arabs or Muslims who do not buy into the propaganda coming from the violent US government, millions of South Americans, who by the way are Christians, do not buy into it either. They have tasted the bitterness of US “goodwill” decades before the Arabs did.
Anyone who challenged the US government lies about WMDs in Iraq was dismissed and even ridiculed.
Obama is right in saying that there is no problem between Islam and America. We agree 100%. There is a problem between the US government’s sponsored violence and its own violence and the people who reside in the Middle East, around the oil fields.
The US government, like any other imperialist power, wishes to dominate other nations to server its own interests. Dominance can take many shapes including political dominance (be it in elections like it happened in Palestine or Lebanon or through authoritarian regimes) and other means to coerce other weaker nations to respect policies designed back in Washington.
As to the holocaust denial issue, well the US government and most academics and political thinkers in the US continue to this very day to deny the genocide of the native American Indians although native Indians themselves believe a genocide was committed against them.
There are over 130,000 US soldiers occupying Iraq by force and a number of US bases and warships around that area ready to destroy and kill.
