Just when you thought Obama Vs Clinton was over, it has emerged once again in the Halls of Congress. According to the Nation many of the supporters of Barack Obama during the campaign were Blue-Dog Democrats, who were more than willing to support the “man” simply because it was more popular for them to do so, than to support the “woman” whose Economic policies they favored. This presents a huge problem for President Obama “if” (and I simply feel that the Republicans are going to do everything to block ANY legislation that Obama wants passed) the stimulus package goes back to the house, as many of the Blue-Dog democrats have now changed their tune once they realized the Republican minority planned to continue to be a stoned wall against the stimulus package. Meanwhile, the Christian Science Monitor has put forth an excellent editorial on Barack Obama’s choices of cabinet members. As we began to question John McCain during the election for his clearly unvetted pick of Sarah Palin, I am starting to wonder whether Barack Obama vetted half of the members of his proposed cabinet. Further, the continued “applause” (Senate applauding Ted Stevens) and “acceptance” (Charlie Rangel continues to head the tax writing committee despite being exposded for not paying his taxes) of individuals who break the law, yet hold public office is almost as nausiating as a regurgitated burrito from Taco Bell. We must question whether Obama will be able to get anything done — at all — during his first 100 days.
