Must Read Op-Ed’s — January 12, 2009
After being trounced in the Presidential election, the Republicans are now attempting to undo McCain-Feingold (yeah thats the same McCain). Basically, the RNC wants to remove limits on individual donations and allow corporate donations. The difficulty is this — Barack Obama raised small donations from millions of people, whereas the Republicans seek to raise bags of money from a few people. Unfortunatly, this raises the issue of political corruption, because in most cases with large donations people want pay back. In our current atmosphere of pay to play politics, I am getting visions of some rather scary people running our government. Could you imagine “Madoff” as Secretary of the Treasury? Meanwhile, Sarah Palin is back in the news again and I honestly believe someone needs to up her medication(s) or get her on some. 8 Days Till Our National Nightmare Is OVER!
