Wednesday, September 7, 2008 — Must Read Op Ed’s

Sarah Palin’s 15 minutes of fame might have just come to a crumbling end, as I hear the voice of Madonna  saying “Tick Tock, Tick Tock”, from her single,  ”4 Minutes” reverbrating in the back of my head.   As the clock ticks, the narrative of Sarah Palin brings forth questions from even Republican opinion writers.   Meanwhile, the media has moved on from Palin (except her never ending Troopergate scandal) to the current financial crisis in the United States.   Will this give an opening to Senator Barack Obama to bring the political discussion back to the issues?   Is the McCain campaign attempting to keep Palin center stage as Katie Couric lands the 2nd interview with the current princess of republican politics?   Finally, I have also included some letters from the residents of Houston, TX which were recently savaged by Hurricane Ike.

Why Experience Matters – David Brooks

Mr. McCain and the Economy – NY Times

Turmoil Presents Opening For Obama – Financial Times

Obama’s Panic – Michael Gerson

Letter’s Hurricane Ike Recovery – Houston Chronicles
