Obama Wins Dixville Notch, NH

1968 was the last time Dixville Notch, NH cast its votes for a Democratic Nominee.   The US, after a year of devastating assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. nominated Richard Nixon as the Republican candidate and Hubert Humphrey as its Democratic candidate.   Exactly, 40 years later, and in a historic election, the city that holds the first vote status in the country has voted for Barack Obama as President.
