Barack Obama is headed to Michigan today to begin a listening and discussion tour swirling around his health care reform agenda. However, many are balking at the suggestion. With fears of increased taxes and lack of choices that will eventually occur for patients, the American Medical Association is one of the toughest critics of the program. The AMA believes that health care should continue to be private, while attempting to create more affordable health insurance for all. Meanwhile, the rest of the countries eyes will be focused on the State of California, where Gov. Terminator threatens to shut down the government rather than take on an extended high interest loan to pull the state out of a shortfall.
